In honor of our first year of living in Germany, we were able to welcome our first visitors. Long awaited, we had the opportunity to share our new home with our family. Although days flew by quickly, many new memories were collected. We made it through 8 cities in 2 weeks.
Weiden, Germany.
With just a short hour and forty-nine-minute drive from Czech Republic to Germany, we arrived at our government issued home in Germany.
Gunzburg, Germany.
Next on our itinerary is Lego Land Deutschland! A year ago, we were at Lego Land Florida for our last family trip before moving overseas. This time we opted for an experience and chose to stay in barrels instead of a traditional hotel room. It was a fun and cozy glamping adventure.
It was the most cost-effective option for our family renting multiple barrels with intentions of getting the best bang for our buck through our adventures. We also prebooked breakfast and dinner at the Dschungel buffet. There was a wide range of options, and the spread was delicious.

Sinsheim, Germany.
Dates between Lego land and Amsterdam didn’t line up as easily, but they were both important pieces to our trip. The solution was to book an Airbnb mid-way, to cut down the drive and in case we wanted to spend more time at Lego land, the day that we checked out of our barrels. With good preparation, things worked out for the best. We allowed a storm to pass for some sunshine and warm weather to enjoy the park.
Just a two-hour drive away, this Airbnb was the perfect condo for our party of 8. It was very clean and comfortable for us to clean up and pack up for our last destination ’till we are headed back to home base.

Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
After all the city hustle and bustle, it was nice to go back to home base for a night, pack up and set out for our next adventure in fresh mountains.
We zoomed down the alpine coasters, hiked through the alps, soaked our toes in ice cold lake Eibsee water, enjoyed easter egg hunting and a blessed Easter Sunday brunch with our family at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort.

Nuremberg, Germany.
With a free day to spare before our journey to our last European country, we got to share the ultimate Bavarian experience of a Volk fest with the family.
We shared a traditional German meal in the beer tent, snacked on fest treats (i.e. gingerbread, chocolate covered fruit), drank liters of Dunkle bier, rode crazy rides and played games for souvenir prizes.
With rides and games costing between 2 euro to 8 euro we enjoyed ourselves. A budget of 100 euro per kid was enough to have a BLAST! Each kid walked away from the fest Platz with a tote filled of goodies from their winnings.

Praha/Prague, Czechia.
We toured the old city, admired the beautiful architecture and enjoyed my favorite chimneys cakes from Good Food by the Charles Bridge.
Cestlice, Czechia.
Last stop. Aqua palace Hotel Prague | Aquapark & Wellness Hotel Prague.
This was the perfect cap after completing a jam-packed two-week itinerary in 3 countries our family. We booked massages, facials and other amazing spa services at the hotel. Ala Carte food is available as well as buffet dining.
